I was testing the "foreign audio search" with "forced only" ticked and "burned in" ticked on Handbrake. I was using an smaller iso of only 3 scenes, one of which is the Italian language scene where Michael meets his future father in law.

You have to choose the movie file and visually sync the subs but most likely it's sufficient to just sync the first and last subtitle line.
